Peace, O Peace
03:51
|
|||
Peace, O peace we sing for mother.
Peace, O peace we need.
Peace, O peace we sigh for brother.
Send Your peace, we plead.
Poor and heavy hearted sister,
Peace, O peace we need.
Weighed down by these earthly burdens.
Send Your peace we plead.
In this hour of confusion,
Peace, O peace we need.
Shine Your light on dissolution.
Send Your peace we plead.
Conflict, woes and complications,
Peace, O peace we need.
Connect us through our separation.
Send Your peace we plead.
Still, we sing despite our sorrow!
Peace, O peace we need
Joyful wonder today and 'morrow!
Send Your peace we plead.

Slaves to Righteousness
08:00
|
|||
We are slaves to righteousness, but that don't mean we get it right.
That don't mean we get it right.
No more shame, no more hopelessness.
Under grace we will abide.
Under grace we will abide.
We offer up our human limitations.
We live beyond our wickedness and impurity.
Now our hearts beat in patterns of forgiveness
Through faith we reap the benefits of love eternally!
Our God is Holy, Holy, Holy, merciful and might.
(Under grace we will abide, under grace we will abide.)
Lord, You are Holy, Holy, Holy. There is none beside Thee!
(Under grace we will abide, under grace we will abide.)
We're set free from sinfulness, but that don't mean we get it right.
That don't mean we get it right.
God's gift is eternal life.

Forgiveness
04:52
|
|||
There’s a message without a friend
It is hidden in a culture where arguments don’t end
Oh, sister, why you tryin’ to pretend
that the sufferin’s easy
and the load’s not heavy?
Hear this message my friend.
There’s a message singing here,
ringing louder than the story telling you to disappear.
Oh, brother, don’t you run away in fear
when the days are long
and the nights are silent.
Hear this message loud and clear
Oh
Oh
Oh
There’s a message in the air.
It’s a west wind rushing right through, tryin’ to blow away despair.
Oh, family we’re caught up in what seems fair,
but we’re down and out
and our luck seems lost.
Feel the message in the air?
Oh
Oh
Oh
There’s a message without a friend.
It’s the mystery of forgiveness from a God who condescends.
Oh, help us we’ve got broken hearts to mend,
and your voice seems low,
but we listen hard
for the message that You send.

God's Grandeur
03:35
|
|||
The world is charged with the grandeur of God.
It will flame out, like shining from shook foil;
It gathers to a greatness, like the ooze of oil
Crushed. Why do men then now not reck his rod?
Generations have trod, have trod, have trod;
And all is seared with trade; bleared, smeared with toil;
And wears man's smudge and shares man's smell: the soil
Is bare now, nor can foot feel, being shod.
And for all this, nature is never spent;
There lives the dearest freshness deep down things;
And though the last lights off the black West went
Oh, morning, at the brown brink eastward, springs —
Because the Holy Ghost over the bent
World broods with warm breast and with ah! bright wings.

The Third Thing
02:44
|
|||
What sits in between?
In between you and me?
In between this music and we?
To share and receive?
To somehow believe?
In the ancient world, a man named Peter, a follower of Jesus, preached to a group of people in the house of Cornelius. His audience tried their best to follow along, but by all accounts, his sermon was long winded. His words big and bold, would inevitably lead to a grand conclusion, but before they did, some thing abruptly stopped him.
It rendered his words complete.
It opened upon them, like a torrential rain.
Disruptively, it fell in between.
No longer one, or two, but now there were three.
Some thing happened.
During the Jewish festival of Pentecost, Luke another follower of Christ called the thing, the Spirit.
He heard it… "A violent wind, shaking the palms of the trees, turning them into tambourines.”
He saw it… “Like light from a flame, separated and settling on the heads of each one gathered in the room.”
She
Them
We
On a road to a place called Emmaus, two who were said to be “slow to believe” found themselves traveling with a person they did not know, a presence they couldn’t have described, a complete stranger.
“Stay with us?” they asked him.
Then at dinner, during the breaking of bread, the Christ was revealed.
“Did not our hearts burn within us?”
Not one, not two. but there were three.
Who is it that walks in between and causes hearts to burn?
What falls in tongues like fire and renders words complete?
What counts our tears and gives us the longing for the world without them?
Oh, Mystery of Mysteries.
Oh, Balm of Gilead.
Comforter
Counselor
Though we,
slow to believe.
This thing,
The Spirit
The Christ
holds us, still.

To Hold
05:49
|
|||
The night holds the stars in the sky.
The lights that they wear wander deep into my eyes.
Shadows evaporate in deep hues of navy blue.
As I walk out here alone, I consider me not you.
The wind holds the trees in its sway.
Turning and rustling I listen for what they say.
Often out in the dark the quietest sounds are the loudest sounds,
But the silence of you, it keeps echoing through.
The silence of you, it keeps echoing, echoing through.
The moon holds the ocean in caress,
But at times all those waves wash my heart into a mess.
How far away out there is the ship you claim to be?
When it's dark all night long you know it's hard for me to see.
When it's dark all night long you know it's hard for me, hard for me to see.
Why can't I shake this feeling I am not alone ?
Why can't I shake this feeling? Why can't I shake this feeling?
The light holds my path in possess
My disposition causes unnecessary duress
Stumbling's ok you say, in the day and in the night.
For these matters of wandering are always worth a fight

Rejoice the Lord is King
04:32
|
|||
Rejoice, the Lord is King:
Your Lord and King adore!
Rejoice, give thanks and sing,
And triumph evermore.
Lift up your heart,
Lift up your voice!
Rejoice, again I say, rejoice!
Jesus, the Savior, reigns,
The God of truth and love;
When He has purged our stains,
He took his seat above;
Lift up your heart,
Lift up your voice!
Rejoice, again I say, rejoice!
His kingdom cannot fail,
He rules o'er earth and heav'n;
The keys of death and hell
Are to our Jesus giv'n:
Lift up your heart,
Lift up your voice!
Rejoice, again I say, rejoice!
Rejoice in glorious hope!
Our Lord and judge shall come
And take His servants up
To their eternal home:
Lift up your heart,
Lift up your voice!
Rejoice, again I say, rejoice!
|
||||
9. |
||||
All creatures of our God and King,
lift up your voice and with us sing
alleluia, alleluia!
Thou burning sun with golden beam,
thou silver moon with softer gleam,
O praise him, O praise him,
alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!
